Véronique Porter

Née à Lyon, France, en 1964, Véronique part pour les Etats-Unis en 1984 ou elle obtient sa licence des Beaux Arts et étudie la peinture auprès de différents artistes. Après un long voyage en voilier avec sa famille, elle revient en France en 2002. Fascinée par la lumière et le paysage de Vence ainsi que l’histoire de cette belle cité des Arts, elle trouve l’atelier parfait au pied de la cathédrale, qu’elle nomme « The Looking Glass » ou elle peint et enseigne aujourd’hui. La lumière matinale jaillie à travers les fenêtres s’ouvrant sur la belle place Godeau ; l’atelier est un lieu de rencontre pour les artistes locaux et les esprits créatifs.

Born in Lyon, France, in 1964, Véronique left for the United States in 1984 where she got a Fine Arts degree and studied painting and art history with different painters. After a long sailing voyage with her family, she returned to France in 2002 and began to paint more and more. Drawn by the incredible light of the French Riviera and the charm and historical nature of the medieval village of Vence, she found the perfect atelier underneath its cathedral, which she called The Looking Glass and where she paints and teaches today.
